Ages ago, back when all still was black. Cold, shadowy nothingness. The Great Ancestor broke free from his prison. Now, with freedom in his grasp, he made the first life. A single star. Light broke the dark blackness, and spread forth. Birthed from this single star was the First World.

The ground on which we now tread is where the Great Ancestor walked, creating his children in his likeness. The Great Ancestor ruled his people, and peace reigned over all.

With his time over, the Great Ancestor returned to the Mother Star, leaving behind a chosen one to maintain his people. From his death, many stars spewed forth from his body. His last act was to create more life throughout the void.

The Chosen One, he who is ordained to rule our people, is the true remnant of the Great Ancestor. With the powers bestowed upon him, all life within the kingdom with live with peace and prosperity.

The Stargods, the ordained guardians. The only truth in the darkness, will guide us to be with the Great Ancestor when our time has neared. With the stars themselves as their light, they will lead us into freedom and truth!

Praise the Stars.

Author's Comments

This was just something random I had the idea for.

This is the legend of how the world came to be for the Azuryth (Azz-oo-wreeth). It is taught at a young age by the Priests of the Temple, with only the highest of the order allowed to see the actual texts.

The Azuryth worship the stars, and the 'Great Ancestor' who is believed to have created them. Other than the Ancestor, the stars are believed to be where all life originates, and were all life returns upon death.

The Gods of the Stars, are not, like most gods, immortal. They have a set lifespan. Which, although greater than the Azuryth's natural life, still is quite short by their terms.

After each Stargod dies, their power is transferred down to the next living son. Despite all means of record keeping, only 9 Stargods are known, and have been written about.

The Azuryth do not consider the Great Ancestor to be a Stargod, but something more.

The Azuryth are my creation, and are copywrited, thusly, to me.
